Solution — The Mural Arts Program is Philadelphia’s most visible and successful public art program. The Program has commissioned thousands of murals that adorn otherwise forlorn and dilapidated walls around Philadelphia’s neighborhoods and Center City District. Mural Arts hired art270 to take that same energy found in the art and apply it to print and e-news projects that included a newsletter aptly titled “Off The Wall,” postcards, event invitations, annual reports, e-blasts and even a bus wrap for Mural Arts tour buses. Taking our cues from a full color version of the Mural Arts logo and plenty of fun and bright photographs of the murals in progress, publications were dressed with loads of bright contemporary colors and lively headlines set in varying sizes and weights of Franklin Gothic. Every day became a “play day” when we worked on a Mural Arts project.
