Project — Design and production for a series of 32 history books

Solution — For more than 25 years, art270 has worked with Eastern National Parks to create a series of short history books that are sold in National Park bookstores including historical Civil War sites like Gettysburg, Fredericksburg and Manassas. Each book is approximately 52 pages and includes photographs, illustrations, etchings and maps. The books are intended to be an easy to read and an inexpensive take-home memory and souvenir. The books have been very popular with middle school and high school age students and with parents and school teachers looking for an inexpensive gift or addition to their home library. Originally created in two colors (when full color printing was much too expensive) the books are now being re-made by art270 with new color maps and photos. The books are now being perfect bound adding more weight and physical substance to the books. The series includes books on the American Civil War, the American Revolutionary War, popular American presidents and other noteworthy topics in history.
